At BrightSparks Tutoring, we believe that every child deserves to feel confident, capable, and valued in their learning. Based in Gloucestershire, we offer personalised tutoring for primary-aged children — including those preparing for the 11 Plus, those who need a boost in maths and English, and those with additional needs such as autism, ADHD, anxiety, or those accessing EOTAS.
From structured 11 Plus preparation and SATs revision to our creative Mini Investigators holiday sessions, BrightSparks Tutoring helps children build strong foundations in both academic skills and self-belief.
About BrightSparks Tutoring

Hello, I’m Michelle — the founder of BrightSparks Tutoring and a qualified teacher with QTS and an enhanced DBS, based in Gloucestershire.
I’m also a mum to children with neurodivergent profiles, so I truly understand the importance of calm, personalised support. I know what it’s like to want the very best for your child — academically, emotionally, and socially — and I bring that understanding into every session I deliver.
I have a particular interest in supporting children who may learn differently or need a little more encouragement to thrive. I also have first-hand experience of the 11 Plus journey here in Gloucestershire, both as a parent and as someone who went through the process myself. One of my children has successfully gained entry into grammar school, so I know how to guide families through it with realistic, structured, and compassionate support.
BrightSparks Tutoring was created because I’m passionate about helping children feel confident and capable, no matter their starting point. My sessions are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each child — whether that’s through 1:1 tutoring, small group boosters, or our topic-based Mini Investigators courses in the holidays.
